Sauna Maintenance for Lasting Quality

How Can You Ensure the Perfect Functioning of Your Sauna?

Fulfillment of Warranty Conditions
The manufacturer links the validity of the warranty to regular maintenance, which often needs to be carried out by qualified service providers. This includes:
Structural framework (external structure): 5 years
Control system and temperature sensor: 1 year
Philips Vitae / Dr. Fischer infrared panels: 5 years (manufacturer’s warranty)
Harvia heaters: 2 years (manufacturer’s warranty)
Ventilation/air conditioning: 36 months (manufacturer’s warranty)
Painting: 6 months

Warranty Exclusions
The physical state of salt bricks may change due to environmental and weather conditions; however, this does not affect the operation or health benefits of the sauna, and therefore, no warranty is provided for salt bricks or salt walls.
Additionally, the warranty does not cover damages resulting from improper use, lack of maintenance, voltage fluctuations, indirect or direct natural disasters. It also excludes parts requiring replacement due to natural wear and tear, as well as defects caused by installations, commissioning, unprofessional repairs, or external interventions not carried out by us.

Protecting the Condition of the Heater
The heater is the most crucial part of the sauna, constantly exposed to intense heat. Worn-out heating elements, accumulated dirt, or damaged sauna stones can significantly reduce the heater's efficiency and lifespan.
During servicing, professionals thoroughly inspect the heater, check its functionality, and replace the heater or sauna stones if they are worn.
This ensures that the heater consistently delivers optimal performance and that the sauna experience remains uninterrupted. Regular servicing ensures efficient and safe heater operation.

Maintenance of Wooden Materials
The wooden elements of the sauna interior, such as the paneling, benches, and flooring, are constantly exposed to high temperatures and humidity, requiring regular maintenance. Treating the wood with paraffin oil 2–3 times a year, depending on the type of wood, is recommended. This helps prevent surface damage to the wood while preserving its natural beauty.
During cleaning, only specialized, chlorine-free cleaning agents should be used to maintain a hygienic and durable sauna environment. Regular maintenance not only protects the wooden materials and preserves their aesthetic value but also ensures the sauna's longevity and long-term usability.

The Importance of Ventilation
Ventilation is essential for the proper functioning of a sauna and an enjoyable sauna experience. Ensuring a supply of fresh air not only helps maintain the internal atmosphere but also prevents moisture-related damage, such as mold formation.
Regular cleaning and inspection of the ventilation openings ensure unobstructed airflow, which contributes to the efficiency of the heater and the even distribution of heat within the sauna.
A well-ventilated sauna remains comfortable and healthy in the long term. Ventilation is a key factor in maintaining the efficient operation of the sauna and ensuring a pleasant, healthy sauna experience.
