Mediterranean sensation in the Danube bend from iSauna
Our destination this time is the wonderful town of Esztergom. The historical town by the river Danube has a lot of memories and fantastic panorama on the Danube.
Our latest project was on a world-class spot. The Castle of Esztergom, the Basilica and the river Danube is almost one block away from the garden.
The beautiful environment, the sophisticated formation of the vegetation and the atmosphere of the small narrow streets in the neighborhood makes us - for a moment - forget the fact that it is in Hungary, it is more like a Mediterranean countryside.
During the construction of the sauna, our goal was to match the atmosphere of the neighborhood. In this endeavour our client was a partner maximally.
The exterior appearance of the individually designed outdoor sauna house is guaranteed by 60-70-year-old beams from Tuscany. They were picked and transported to Hungary after an old stable was dismantled.
The beams were subjected to professional artistic restoration and were then used.
The unique appearance of the roof structure is ensured by the 200-year-old irregular stone slate pieces, which also came from South Italy.
Playing a bit with the styles in the interior, we also put the sensation of the modern age back on. This was achieved by the horizontal A + category Canadian red cedar paneling, the open front style bench design, the large insulated panoramic glazing and the hidden LED lighting.
Thinking about adding a little more to this sensation, an outdoor rain-shower is placed on the side wall of the sauna, which is hiding somewhat behind the leaves of a tree.
